2:00 - 3:00
Empathy is an important skill in the delivery of Healthcare. Only when patients feel understood can health issues be meaningfully addressed.
Therefore a need exists for empathy education within health professional curricula.
We are an interfaculty group of professionals researching and designing empathy education modules at Monash University.
This interactive session will explore how we currently teach students about empathy, its role in patient-centered care and new directions in this space.
We will be demonstrating various teaching methods and we look forward to enthusiastic audience participation.
